About The Position

Capital One’s Upmarket Acquisitions Product team manages the customer experience for applicants to its flagship Upmarket card products. The role focuses on reducing friction in the application experience and developing new user experiences. The product manager sets the product vision, delivers a roadmap of enhancements to improve applicant satisfaction and conversion, and works with platform and segment partners to shape the end-to-end customer experience. The position develops skills across four areas: human-centered product development, business-focused decision-making, technology-driven delivery, and transformational leadership. The product manager collaborates with technology teams to define acceptance criteria, identify research needs, break epics into features and user stories, and guide teams toward minimum viable products for valid feature tests. They use data and hypotheses to assess business needs, prioritize feature roadmaps, and follow processes for risk management. They work autonomously in an agile environment and partner with designers, technologists, data scientists, and subject-matter experts to deliver customer solutions. They also build relationships across teams, communicate product roadmaps and business value, and develop product expertise. Capital One describes the desired candidate as curious, comfortable with ambiguity, an effective communicator and influencer, action-oriented, organized, customer-focused, eager to learn, and collaborative. This is a hybrid position, with required on-site presence in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid policy. The role is not eligible for new employment authorization or immigration-related support from Capital One.
