Senior Associate, New Verticals - Retail Shopping Experience Strategy & Operations

DoorDashSan Francisco, NY
$87,000 - $128,000Hybrid

About The Position

The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce by expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since then built world-class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace; this team is shaping the future of DoorDash Retail and how we empower local economies across industries like pets, flowers, home improvement and so much more! We are hiring a Senior Associate to join the Retail Strategy & Operations team to own the backend data that fuels what customers see when shopping Retail on DoorDash. This person will develop deep expertise in Retail merchants and categories and become the team's authority on data quality — defining what best-in-class product and merchant data looks like, and building the systems that keep it that way as we scale. They will partner with the central Catalog team on attribute creation, translate merchant catalog feeds into DoorDash standards, and manage enrichment programs to hit coverage targets across categories. Beyond day-to-day execution, they'll build repeatable frameworks — like style guides — that keep data clean as new merchants and categories launch, and track quality over time to catch gaps before they reach customers. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly prototyping ideas, building mocks for user research, putting together product visions, and synthesizing complex analyses — all with the leverage of AI tools. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks. The scope of this role will continue to evolve as AI tools become more powerful and accessible, and we want someone who finds that trajectory exciting rather than unsettling.
