Senior Associate, E-Commerce

HelloFreshToronto, ON
Hybrid

About The Position

The Pets Table, the newest brand from HelloFresh, launched in summer 2023 and is rapidly growing in the US pet food market. The company aims to redefine pet food with healthy, vet-developed recipes made from wholesome ingredients. Operating as a startup within the HelloFresh Group, it benefits from both agility and the resources of a larger organization, with plans for rapid omnichannel expansion. This role is part of the Growth Marketing team, reporting to the Associate Director of Business Development. It is ideal for an entrepreneurial E-Commerce expert to drive expansion into the Canadian market via Amazon and Chewy, while also supporting the established US retail business. The position requires a highly analytical, organized, influential, and agile individual to contribute to growth with Canadian retail partners and assist with US retail operations.

Requirements

  • A dog person through and through: You understand why pet parents want the best for their pups and can translate that empathy into your daily output on retail platforms—ensuring every touchpoint speaks directly to a paw-rent’s needs
  • Excited to be part of our mission of helping pets live a happier, healthier life by changing the way they eat!
  • Experienced in the field: 3+ years of years of direct and hands-on experience managing a brand on Amazon (1P/Vendor Central preferred, 3P/Seller Central a plus). You know your way around the back-end portals and ad platforms with minimal support
  • Expert at eCommerce execution, with 3+ years of a strong understanding of brand management across multiple functions (advertising, demand planning, content creation, listing optimization, and SEO)
  • Detail-obsessed & process-driven: You believe "the devil is in the details." Whether it’s double-checking MSRPs or making sure PDPs are live per brand guidelines, you catch the errors others miss and are excited by implementation
  • A strong project manager: You prioritize with ease and can independently juggle multiple tasks to take them to completion with a sense of urgency
  • Analytical and proficient in Excel/Gsheets: You can build business cases, charts and analyze and create clean, actionable reports
  • A clear communicator: You communicate well verbally, in writing, and are a good active listener
  • Creative: You embody a can-do attitude and are willing to roll up your sleeves without being asked and are proactive in finding solutions
  • Entrepreneurial with a focus on ownership: You are driven by results and are able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Amazon and Chewy in Canada — handling end-to-end setup of all new SKUs, catalog completion, management, merchandising and technical troubleshooting while supporting the US marketplaces as required to drive sales
  • Recommend, set up and track the performance of various promotional levers - from Lightning Deals, Virtual Coupons to Subscribe & Save/Autoship discounts for our Canadian retailers
  • Support on the end-to-end P&L ownership - maintaining strong relationships with Canadian vendor managers/category leads, driving growth and ensuring seamless day to day operations
  • Provide support to the broader The Pets Table Retail team on US online retail and Canadian offline stores as required
  • Execute and optimize Amazon/Chewy advertising campaigns: managing budgets, performing daily keyword harvesting, negative keyword bidding, and manual bid adjustments to hit TACoS targets
  • Be the dedicated expert on the Canadian retail landscape, maintaining a pulse on competitor movements, market trends, developing and uploading high-impact customer-facing content—including PDPs, A+ content, Brand Stores, and ad video/imagery in collaboration with the US Brand team and external partners
  • Build and maintain weekly trackers in Google Sheets that highlight specific SKU-level performance, ad performance (ROAS, CTR, TACoS) and competitive pricing movements to effectively communicate results to leadership
  • Work closely with internal teams across Product and Operations to ensure seamless new product launches in Canada, execute GTM plans and ensure catalog health and inventory levels are optimized for scale
  • Face a steep learning curve and benefit from a significant boost to your professional development by scaling a high-growth pet D2C brand within a global food-tech powerhouse
  • Be empowered and have a strong voice to contribute new ideas for the business
  • All other duties, as assigned
