About The Position

The E-Commerce Associate will assist customers with purchases at Showroom and Outlet store locations, finalizing transactions using Shopify POS devices. This role requires familiarity with the entire inventory, including fabrics, colors, products, and sizes. The associate will communicate and follow up with customers via the Customer Relationship Management platform (Gorgias), email, and phone. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean and orderly store environment, organizing fabric swatches, actively engaging with customers and team members, and locating and shipping store products for online orders. The associate will also conduct cycle counts, update inventory on Shopify, provide support to other departments (e.g., quarterly inventory counts, light administrative work), handle in-store and online returns/exchanges, resolve shipping issues, and optimize operational processes.

  • Excellent computer and IT skills
  • Proper phone etiquette required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Must be a team player and willing to wear multiple hats
  • Quick learner
  • Prior experience with the following software: ShipStation, Shopify, Gorgias

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related-industry experience
  • Knowledge of Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with purchases at Showroom and Outlet store locations

  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the store and at their work station
  • Organize fabric swatches program to provide customers with the appropriate samples
  • Actively engage with customers and other team members
  • Locate and ship store products for online orders
  • Conduct cycle counts and update inventory on our Shopify account as needed
  • Provide support to additional departments (e.g. assisting during our quarterly inventory counts or with light administrative work)
  • Handle in-store and online returns and exchanges per company policy
  • Resolve shipping issues and discrepancies
  • Devise new processes or refine existing ones to optimize operations
