About The Position

New York Life’s Artificial Intelligence and Data organization is seeking a Business Operations and Strategy Senior Associate to support strategic planning, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across the organization. This role will partner closely with AI&D leadership, product managers, portfolio leads, and enterprise stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, enhance operating cadence, and support enterprise-wide governance and planning activities. The ideal candidate is a structured thinker and effective communicator who thrives in fast-paced and evolving environments. This individual will be responsible for translating complex business and technical concepts into clear executive-level narratives, driving strategic alignment across teams, and enabling operational effectiveness through strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, technology strategy, corporate strategy, or a related function
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business and technology challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive-level and C-suite presentations
  • Strong project and process management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Demonstrated collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and earn trust across teams and senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives from problem definition through execution, including tracking outcomes, measuring impact, and supporting organizational priorities across AI&D
  • Develop executive-ready presentations and communications for senior leadership, including Board of Directors and C-suite audiences, by translating complex technical and operational topics into clear and compelling narratives
  • Support organizational operating cadence activities across workforce planning, procurement, finance, governance forums, and agile delivery management while identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Partner with leadership and portfolio teams to support annual and multi-year strategic planning efforts, including prioritization, roadmap alignment, and OKR development and tracking
  • Serve as a liaison across enterprise functions including Finance, Procurement, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Sourcing to facilitate operational processes and enable effective cross-functional collaboration
