Requirements

3–5 years of commercial real estate valuation and appraisal experience.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise.
NY State Certified General Appraiser designation and/or progress toward an Appraisal Institute designation.
Strong valuation expertise across major property types and geographic markets.
Solid understanding of real estate finance, investments, and market fundamentals.
Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate large datasets into actionable insights.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted valuation advisor to lending and investment teams on new originations, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
Perform in-house valuations and portfolio analyses to support financial reporting, asset management, and investment decision-making.
Lead the engagement, review, and quality control of third-party appraisal assignments.
Maintain valuation databases and develop portfolio-level analytics and market insights.
Conduct property inspections and update collateral valuations across a $60 billion commercial mortgage portfolio.
Independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex valuation and appraisal challenges.
Travel periodically to inspect assets and gain firsthand market intelligence.
