About The Position

The Senior Assistant Planner partners closely with the Planner to develop location-specific financial plans and recommend strategies for core vendor plans in an assigned area of business. The role manages a portion of the Planner’s allocation business by evaluating and responding to sales trends, managing location inventory levels and replenishment, and driving sales and margin. The Senior Assistant Planner ensures that the right products are available in the right place at the right time to meet customer expectations and achieve sales and profitability goals for the assigned business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Open and continuous communication skills, including keeping others informed and presenting information clearly and concisely.
• Leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
• Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.
• Proficiency in MS Office computer programs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate, use office and computer systems, access and review written and electronic information, and move within the work environment and interact with workplace materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Planning Team on pre-season financial planning for the business unit, including department and vendor plans, daily sales plans, and forecast plans.
• Forecast daily sales and stock by channel and location to support the ROF process, ensuring appropriate growth rates and inventory allocation at the source of demand.
• Use insights and analytics to guide strategies that drive vendor opportunities and minimize risks.
• Attend vendor meetings to negotiate plans and advocate for location distribution of brands, items, and expanded replenishment offerings.
• Perform quarterly hindsight analysis with the Planning Team to inform future strategy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
