About The Position

The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta is seeking a Senior Applications & Data Analyst to join their Information Technology team. This role is crucial for ensuring the Foundation's systems, data, and applications operate with the rigor and reliability needed to advance equity and opportunity across the Greater Atlanta region. The Senior Applications & Data Analyst will be the primary owner of the Foundation's enterprise application portfolio, including ERP, CRM, and cloud-hosted business systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and a collaborative spirit to foster a more connected, data-informed organization. The role involves systems administration, data engineering, project leadership, and partnering with various departments like Finance, Programs, and Grants Management. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex implementation cycles, workflow redesign, and a strong understanding of the importance of data integrity for operational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field or Related Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in applications administration, systems analysis, or IT project delivery
  • Demonstrated ERP implementation or administration experience (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on CRM experience (Salesforce, Blackbaud CRM / Raiser's Edge, or equivalent) including configuration and data migration
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Azure — Azure AD / Entra ID, Azure SQL, and cloud storage
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational database management
  • Ability to translate technical concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven capacity to manage projects independently and deliver on deadline
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining constructive partnerships across departments.

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, DP-900, or higher)
  • Experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, foundation, or public sector environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead or co-lead end-to-end ERP implementation and upgrade projects, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
  • Serve as the primary system administrator for the ERP, managing user access, workflow configuration, and system integrity.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Operations to align ERP functionality with evolving business processes and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain integration touchpoints between the ERP and downstream business systems.
  • Administer and optimize the Foundation's CRM platform, ensuring clean data, effective workflows, and strong user adoption.
  • Lead or co-lead CRM implementation or migration projects, including data migration planning, stakeholder engagement, and training programs.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models that support donor stewardship, grant management, and community engagement activities.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support across the Foundation's software portfolio, troubleshooting complex issues and managing vendor escalations.
  • Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and data dictionaries.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and onboard new business applications aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements for key platforms.
  • Administer Foundation systems hosted on Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL, Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, and related cloud services.
  • Support data pipeline and warehouse development using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or comparable tools.
  • Ensure data governance, security compliance, and disaster recovery protocols are current, tested, and documented.
  • Monitor Azure resource utilization and recommend cost optimization strategies.
  • Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support executive decision-making and programmatic reporting.
  • Conduct data quality audits and implement remediation strategies across core systems.
  • Collaborate with program, finance, and grants management staff to surface data-driven insights.
  • Support annual audit and compliance reporting through accurate data extraction and reconciliation.
