About The Position

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Tooling Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates the implementation of manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. The role develops, implements, and improves manufacturing strategies using knowledge of product design, materials, tooling and equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. The engineer creates plans to optimize workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; translates product requirements into tooling and equipment specifications and options; and works with vendors to procure, install, and implement equipment in the manufacturing facility. The position provides manufacturing input to the Simultaneous Development Team, manages equipment and tooling procurement and acceptance, facilitates implementation and technical training, and completes Process FMEAs while managing RPN risks. It also supports product needs through pilot activities, testing, run-at-rate, and internal process sign-offs, assesses ergonomic concerns, and contributes to continuous improvement. Employees must meet applicable IOS, EHS, product safety, compliance, information security, and company policy requirements. The role requires professional interaction and cooperation with customers, suppliers, vendors, and employees at all levels; predictable attendance; and the ability to work additional hours or overtime when needed. The engineer must be willing and able to travel to customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants that may involve climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
