About The Position

The Senior Advanced Manufacturing Tooling Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates the implementation of manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. The role develops, implements, and improves manufacturing strategies using knowledge of product design, materials, tooling and equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. It creates plans to optimize workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Using product requirements, the engineer creates specifications and options for tooling and equipment and works with vendors to procure, install, and implement them in the manufacturing facility. The position provides manufacturing input to the Simultaneous Development Team, supports product and process readiness, and helps ensure equipment, tooling, and manufacturing standards meet operational needs. The engineer also supports customer part needs through pilot activities, testing, run-at-rate, and internal process sign-offs, and contributes to continuous improvement.
