About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is based at our Richmond, VA location. This role supports the Plant Manager and ensures efficient office operations. Responsibilities include planning logistics for plant visits, overseeing drivers and leased vehicles, coordinating events, maintaining records, handling inquiries, preparing correspondence, compiling reports, and assisting all departments as needed. The position requires strong independence, judgment, problem-solving skills, discretion, and provides general support for Plant Communications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years progressive administrative assistance experience supporting senior level positions
  • Excellent technical secretarial skills
  • Ability to recommend plans and coordinate a course of action
  • Ability to work independently to respond to a wide variety of information requests
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience with MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a daily calendar; prepares and manage expense reports; schedule appointments; plan and coordinate meetings and conferences of varying sizes as required; receive visitors; screen calls and mail; handle domestic and international travel arrangements; and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Actively participate and contribute as a team member; assume leadership roles within the team; and proactively seek opportunities to help balance departmental workloads.
  • Coordinate and manage plant meeting rooms.
  • Address changing priorities, schedules, and tight deadlines with flexibility and a proactive approach.
  • Track meeting minutes and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
  • Monitor and manage both oral and written communication between internal and external stakeholders and the Campus Plant Manager’s office.
  • Ensure accurate filing and record-keeping by storing and documenting information promptly.
  • Coordinate and supervises the activities of drivers/messengers; oversees company-leased vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, cleaning, insurance, and payment of taxes.
  • Manage the Viva Engage page and Plant SharePoint site; designs materials for internal communications.
