The Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS), the public defender agency for Massachusetts, is seeking to fill a full-time Senior Administrative Assistant position to support the Office of the General Counsel and the Strategic Litigation Unit. This position will be based in Boston and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. CPCS is dedicated to fighting for equal justice and human dignity by supporting clients in achieving their legal and life goals, zealously advocating for the rights of individuals, and promoting just public policy. The agency provides representation in a wide range of legal cases for indigent persons. The Office of the General Counsel provides legal counsel to the Agency and represents it before the Legislature and Executive Branch. The Strategic Litigation Unit (SLU) focuses on the right to counsel, the elimination of systemic injustices, and systemic and institutional reform through litigation and data analysis. The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide broad administrative services for these offices and will lead the processing of Public Service Loan Forgiveness certifications for private counsel vendors. This is a full-time (35 hours/week) position reporting to the Assistant General Counsel.
