About The Position

MTG is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our Accounting team and partner closely with the Director of Direct Spend. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting month-end close activities, analyzing direct spend transactions, and helping drive business performance through strong financial analysis and operational partnership. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across accounting, finance, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of job costing, inventory accounting, direct spend, or three-way match processes preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-location, construction, manufacturing, distribution, or service-based environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Direct Spend with financial analysis and reporting initiatives that support company growth objectives.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial targets, budgets, and operational performance metrics.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
  • Analyze Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI), accruals, job costing, and direct spend transactions.
  • Review and reconcile three-way match transactions between purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices.
  • Partner with operational teams to understand business activities and improve financial visibility.
  • Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on process improvements, training initiatives, and department projects.
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service and support across departments.
