The position maintains the general ledger and prepares monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations. It reviews reconciliations for investment pools and prepares journal entries allocating investment returns to applicable funds. The role also prepares specialized reports and analyses, supports Finance team operations, and provides backup for recording non-cash gifts and related sales and for the ACH verification process. In collaboration with the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant prepares selected audit workpapers and contributes to timely, accurate draft annual financial statements. The role documents and updates accounting procedures, supports financial database training and troubleshooting, and helps prioritize system enhancements. It prepares quarterly estimated tax payments and filings, drafts annual federal and state tax returns for OCF and its supporting organizations, manages related compliance activities, and assists with review of trust financial statements and tax returns. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and may require extra hours during cyclical periods. The position is based in Portland, Oregon.
