About The Position

Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP is seeking an active Senior Accountant or CPA to own and grow a client portfolio and play a key role in the firm. The position offers a leadership opportunity and a potential track to partnership for the right candidate. The firm emphasizes client relationships, career growth, and work/life balance. The role provides tax and accounting services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, estates, and trusts. Work includes planning, preparing, and reviewing tax returns; delivering non-attest services; and working directly with clients. The Senior Accountant or CPA will also oversee and mentor staff. The firm serves clients across the Midwest and offers work across varied industries and services, including tax preparation, audit, bookkeeping, and consulting.

Requirements

2–4 years of audit or tax experience in public accounting.
Ability to manage client relationships and oversee multiple engagements.
Strong project management and supervisory experience.
Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
Confidence explaining complex financial concepts to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

An active CPA license; it is a plus but not required.
Farm tax experience; it is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
