This position is based in one of the office locations listed below , and candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance, as this role requires on-site presence at least three days per week. Available Office Locations: New Jersey | Philadelphia | Raleigh Overview: As a Senior A ccountant at Litera, you’ll own the accuracy and timeliness of expenses and accruals across a global, multi-entity business running on NetSuite. You’ll partner with teammates across multiple time zones, drive a clean and timely month-end close, and help us re-engineer accounting workflows with automation and AI. If you’re a CPA who gets excited about eliminating manual work, building smarter Excel models, and putting technology to work on the heavy lifting, this is the team for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA with strong working knowledge of US GAAP
  • 2-6 years of accounting experience demonstrating increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated track record of automating and improving accounting processes
  • Advanced Excel expertise (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and macros/ VBA)
  • General ledger and other accounting systems experience .
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively accorss time zones and cultures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability – Must be comfortable with shifting priorities, new tools, and evolving processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high growth software company and/or private equity ownership a plus
  • Prior NetSuite experience a plus .

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned general ledger accounting and month-end close activities , including journal entry posting , account reconciliations, flux analyses, and all associated reporting requirements, to ensur e timeliness and accuracy .
  • Prepare and review accruals across a multi-entity global organization .
  • Partner with FP&A, AP, and other budget stakeholders in multiple time zones to ensure expenses are properly classified, accrued , and explained
  • Identify , i mplement , and maintain best in class systems and processes , including automation and AI-assisted workflows, to ensure an efficient and effective accounting team .
  • Support external audit requests, internal controls documentation, and technical accounting research as needed.
