Senior Accountant

Cloud InventoryGreenwood Village, CO

About The Position

Nextworld helps companies solve messy, manual back-office workflows in weeks, not years. We work with growth-stage and mid-market businesses that are feeling the strain of Shadow ERP: spreadsheets, workarounds, disconnected systems, IT backlogs, and critical processes that live in people’s heads instead of governed systems. Our approach is simple: start with one painful problem, deliver a quick win fast, prove value, and grow from there. We help customers build what is missing, extend what they already have, and automate tedious work with AI — all without ripping out the ERP and systems they depend on. We’re looking for a driven and adaptable Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role sits within a shared services department supporting two business units — Nextworld and Cloud Inventory — giving you broad exposure across the organization. You’ll own core accounting operations and contribute to the process improvements and automation initiatives that keep our finance function running efficiently as we scale. If you thrive in dynamic environments, embrace new technology, and love solving problems, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and automation in a work context.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across different accounting areas simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a SaaS or high-growth technology company
  • Global company and multiple entities experience including intercompany
  • Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
  • CPA license or progress toward certification

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage accounts payable processes end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle lease accounting and maintain compliance with relevant standards.
  • Prepare and post accruals, ensuring proper period-end recognition.
  • Support the month-end close process, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline accounting workflows.
  • Learn and become proficient in new systems and tools as the company scales.
  • Partner with team members across finance and the broader business to support company goals.
