About The Position

This Senior Accountant role focuses on tax compliance and reporting. The position involves preparing, reviewing, and filing various indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, excise tax, and gross receipts tax, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Key responsibilities include monitoring tax law changes, supporting audits, acting as a primary tax contact, and performing corporate tax depreciation calculations. The role also requires preparing recurring financial and regulatory reports for stakeholders such as banks, lenders, and Caterpillar, which includes quarterly bank packages, borrowing base reports, and Dealer Financial Reports (DFRS). Additionally, the Senior Accountant will support complex financial and Project CFO reporting through reconciliations, schedules, certifications, and detailed analysis, ensuring reported balances align with the general ledger, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and responding to inquiries from auditors or regulators.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience preparing, reviewing, and filing indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, excise tax, gross receipts tax, and other transaction‑based taxes, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • Working knowledge of indirect tax compliance, including monitoring tax law changes, supporting audits, serving as a primary tax contact, and performing corporate tax depreciation calculations
  • Proven ability to prepare recurring financial and regulatory reports for banks, lenders, Caterpillar, and other stakeholders, including quarterly bank packages, borrowing base reports, and Dealer Financial Reports (DFRS)
  • Experience supporting complex financial and Project CFO reporting through reconciliations, schedules, certifications, and detailed analysis
  • Strong reconciliation and control experience, ensuring reported balances tie to the general ledger, maintaining audit‑ready documentation, and responding to auditor or regulator inquiries
  • Advanced analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong Excel proficiency
  • ERP experience
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., Vena)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in indirect tax, accounting, or financial reporting
  • Knowledge of general business and accounting practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills: both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft platforms
