Senior Account Executive (U.S. Remote)

TheyDo•,
•$200 - $250•Remote

About The Position

TheyDo is hiring a Senior Account Executive to build new enterprise business across North America. The role owns a greenfield territory of named accounts in the United States and Canada, with a focus on opening new relationships and winning net-new customers for TheyDo’s AI-powered journey management platform. The position is remote and reports to Natalie, working with a North American sales team of four account executives and colleagues in SDR, Enablement, and Customer Success across North America and Europe. The role centers on creating new revenue rather than managing an existing book of business. The Senior Account Executive will develop pipeline through outbound prospecting, account-based plays with BDR and Marketing, events, and executive networking; take complex enterprise sales from first conversation through signature; and land mid-to-high six-figure initial deals. The role also contributes to the North American sales playbook by refining the ideal customer profile, messaging, and sales motion, sharing buyer insights with Product, and maintaining accurate forecasts and clear asynchronous updates.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience closing B2B SaaS deals, with most of that experience in enterprise new-business roles selling to large North American organizations.
  • A track record of exceeding annual quotas, with most closed revenue coming from self-sourced net-new logos; candidates should be prepared to discuss the numbers.
  • Proven ability to land mid-to-high six-figure first deals with enterprises that were not existing customers.
  • Experience selling a platform or new-category product and creating demand rather than responding to an RFP.
  • Use of a value-selling methodology such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or a similar approach.
  • Confidence engaging C-level buyers, building consensus across stakeholders, and navigating enterprise procurement, security, and legal processes.
  • Comfort starting with a blank target list rather than an inherited book, and enthusiasm for a scale-up where the product and playbook evolve quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to CX, Product, Digital, or Design leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Own a named list of North American enterprise accounts and prioritize where to focus based on buying signals.
  • Create most of their own pipeline through outbound prospecting, account-based plays with BDR and Marketing, events, and executive networking.
  • Break into accounts with no existing relationship and identify the senior decision-maker responsible for the customer experience problem.
  • Run complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial conversation through discovery, business case, procurement, and close.
  • Sell business value to C-level and VP buyers across CX, Product, and Digital, building business cases that support executive decisions.
  • Land mid-to-high six-figure initial deals structured for expansion and hand them off to Customer Success with context to support growth.
  • Refine the ideal customer profile, messaging, and sales motion based on field experience.
  • Share buyer insights with Product.
  • Forecast accurately and keep the team informed through clear asynchronous updates.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and pre-IPO equity through a stock package.
  • Fully remote work with flexible hours.
  • Health insurance benefit with tailored support for employees regardless of location.
  • At least 25 paid holiday days per year, pro rata, in addition to public holidays and an extra three days during the annual company-wide December winter shutdown.
  • Learning and Development budget.
  • Wellbeing budget to support activities such as meditation, mindfulness, or a yoga or gym membership.
  • Paid parental leave: six months for the primary carer and six weeks for the secondary carer, fully paid.
  • Paid childcare leave when time off is needed to help a child recover.
  • Home office or co-working support budget.
  • Company events, including in-person company retreats.
  • Latest technology and tools, including a MacBook Air or Pro and collaborative tools such as Gather, Slack, Notion, Loom, G:Suite, and TheyDo.
  • Benefits package that continues to grow as the company grows.
