About The Position

RunSybil is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Technology to own the full sales cycle for Sybil, its AI-driven penetration-testing product, selling to security teams at high-growth technology companies. The role focuses on venture-backed software companies in AI and developer tooling, where buyers are technical and expect relevant, credible conversations. The Senior Account Executive will prospect into target accounts, lead deals with CISOs, CTOs, and senior security practitioners, and build credibility through in-depth discussions of Sybil’s architecture, capabilities, and customer outcomes. In addition to managing and closing deals, this founder-adjacent role will help build the playbooks, positioning, partner relationships, and go-to-market motion for the technology segment. The position is remote in San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Track record selling software to technical buyers at high-growth technology companies.
  • Technical fluency to engage credibly with CISOs, CTOs, and engineers, including in deep or contested conversations.
  • Consultative, adaptive communication style, with the ability to read the room and recover when losing an audience.
  • Ability to build pipeline from scratch and create opportunities.
  • Track record closing deals of $100K or more in complex, multi-threaded environments.
  • Experience selling into or alongside channel partners and closing business through resellers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage company building, including creating processes where none exist.
  • Startup sensibility and urgency, including making sound decisions with limited information and treating company resources responsibly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling in security, infrastructure, or developer tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle for technology accounts, from first outreach through close, including renewals and expansion.
  • Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, professional networks in technology and security, and channel partners.
  • Run discovery with CISOs, CTOs, and security practitioners; partner with the sales engineer on demos and independently position Sybil credibly.
  • Lead consultative conversations with technical buyers, adapting to the audience rather than relying on a fixed script.
  • Partner with founders, the Head of GTM, sales engineering, and customer success on deal strategy, messaging, and positioning for the technology segment.
  • Build playbooks, processes, and partner relationships to help future deals close more efficiently.
  • Bring insights from the field back to product and GTM teams so offerings reflect technical buyers’ needs.
