  • A record of securing high-impact coverage and a working network of technology and business reporters.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including the ability to make technical subject matter compelling to journalists and business audiences.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to work with engineers and subject matter experts to translate complex concepts.
  • Curiosity about technology, awareness of industry developments, and interest in how AI is reshaping search, media, and discovery.
  • Any combination of education and experience providing the skills and knowledge required for successful performance qualifies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with global or multi-market programs.
  • Background in executive visibility, industry analyst relations, or influencer programs.
  • Familiarity with measurement approaches for earned media and AI visibility.
  • Exposure to issues and crisis communications.
  • Prior experience supporting new business pitches.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and secure compelling earned media coverage for enterprise and B2B technology brands across trade, vertical, business and financial, technology, broadcast, national, and local outlets.
  • Manage multiple programs and workstreams, coordinating agency and client teams on planning, timelines, reporting, and measurement.
  • Turn complex technology, product launches, and executive perspectives into clear, differentiated, newsworthy narratives.
  • Write, edit, and present communications plans, points of view, Q&As, and press materials.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with reporters covering enterprise technology, and lead pitching that earns placement based on the strength of the story.
  • Advise clients on executing against strategy, bringing a point of view on competitors, market dynamics, and media trends; partner with account leadership on larger client discussions.
  • Learn to integrate thought leadership, analyst and influencer engagement, social, AI visibility, and generative engine optimization into program plans.
  • Coach assistant account executives and coordinators, uphold standards for writing and strategic thinking, and support junior staff career development.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to new business pitches and RFP responses.
