Senior Account Executive - Credit & Lending Products

Mercury•Portland, OR
•$153,000 - $212,400

About The Position

Mercury is seeking a seasoned credit and capital sales professional to grow its lending products. The role sells working capital products, including term loans and rolling lines, to established, high-value mid-market brands generating $20 million to $500 million in annual revenue. The initial focus is on high-quality ecommerce brands, with potential to expand to other industries. The Senior Account Executive partners with founders and finance teams to understand cash flow and capital needs, then works with underwriting to develop credit-sound offers. The position owns complex, often lengthy sales cycles and requires building relationships externally while securing alignment internally across underwriting and the executive team. Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank; banking services are provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.

  • Strong understanding of credit fundamentals, including cash flow, underwriting considerations, and deal structuring.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles requiring internal alignment and external persuasion.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-source pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Genuine curiosity about how growing businesses operate financially and energy for solving their capital needs.
