About The Position

The Class A Semi Driver operates a commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw materials, providing prompt and efficient customer service, and returns the materials to the company facility. The driver follows established routes, completes required weighing procedures, secures loads, maintains the vehicle and related records, and complies with applicable regulations and company safety procedures. The position also requires maintaining professional customer relations and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must hold a current Class A CDL and have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
• Six months of experience required.
• Must be registered on the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Run established routes and pick up raw materials; weigh materials upon return to the plant and weigh in and out at customer locations as needed.
• Ensure loads are tarped before leaving the plant or customer location and maintain cleanliness at customer locations.
• Maintain the company vehicle in clean condition.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks and inspections; operate the vehicle in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, company policies and procedures, and company safety rules.
• Maintain excellent customer relations through a professional appearance and attitude.
• Complete required company paperwork, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, and service forms.
• Maintain and update the vehicle condition report daily.
• Maintain DOT hours of service using the onboard computer in accordance with company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
