About The Position

Public Storage is hiring Property Managers to work independently across multiple self-storage locations, spending time both indoors and outdoors. The role includes assessing customers’ storage needs, recommending storage solutions, and selling packing and moving supplies. Managers inspect storage units to confirm inventory and availability, handle cash drawer audits and bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments through reminder and collection calls. The position also involves cleaning and daily maintenance of interior areas and exterior grounds.

Requirements

Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment; candidates may come from retail, restaurant, fast-food, or other service-based companies.
Valid driver’s license.
Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and/or conduct other work-related business.
Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.
Ability to spend up to 50% of work time in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Assess customers’ storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies.
Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
Help customers stay current on payments by making reminder and collection calls when required.
Complete cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
Travel between multiple work locations and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
