About The Position

The Segment Lead is assigned the Job Role of Architecture Principal within Infosys’ Strategic Technology Group (STG), a unit for senior technologists working on complex, large-scale technology challenges. The role leads enterprise-wide AI and digital transformation for large accounts, shaping technology direction and aligning architectural and engineering decisions with business goals. It combines strategic client engagement, architecture leadership, hands-on technical guidance, innovation, and organizational knowledge-sharing. The position partners with business stakeholders to elicit requirements, assess current technology landscapes, recommend integrated and future-ready solutions, and develop transformation roadmaps. It drives scalable, secure architecture and platform foundations; modernization and integration strategies; performance optimization; risk mitigation; and adoption of emerging technologies. The Segment Lead also helps build and scale the enterprise architecture practice, standardizes reusable frameworks and architectures, contributes field insights to Infosys platforms and offerings, and supports go-to-market efforts. The role represents the organization in industry forums and professional publications, while guiding architects and technical teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Requirements

Experience leading enterprise-wide AI and digital transformation initiatives at company level for large accounts.
Experience building strategic relationships with CXOs and technology partners, hyperscalers, startups, academia, and industry ecosystems.
Experience building and scaling an enterprise architecture practice.
Experience contributing to productization and standardization of AI platforms, industry stacks, and engineering offerings.
Experience defining reusable transformation frameworks, reference architectures, and solution blueprints adopted across multiple engagements.
Experience defining, evolving, and implementing population-scale platform architecture and strategic platform foundations.
Ability to author design blueprints aligned with functional and non-functional objectives.
Experience driving adoption and operationalization of emerging or evolving technologies.
Experience with Lean or Agile development methodologies.
Experience in digital and AI-first architecture, including next-generation UI/UX, APIs and microservices, data and analytics, cloud, and agentic AI implementation.
Prior experience as a Chief Architect or Digital Architecture Lead, personally leading and mentoring architects on large programs.
Technology breadth across UI stacks, containerization, REST and Node, functional programming architecture, APIs and microservices, analytics, cloud, security, and enterprise integration, with depth in multiple areas.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman, with practical experience applying one or more frameworks.
Ability to translate innovation roadmaps into modernization programs and platform capabilities.
Ability to drive innovation and thought leadership through industry publications, patents, and intellectual property.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive specialty experience may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver enterprise-wide AI and digital transformation initiatives for large accounts.
Build strategic relationships with client CXOs, technology partners, hyperscalers, startups, academia, and industry ecosystems; advise client leaders and align architectural decisions with business objectives.
Build and scale the enterprise architecture practice within the segment.
Elicit and align business requirements with immediate and future market demands.
Design scalable, secure architectures that comply with standards, incorporate appropriate security measures, and integrate with existing systems.
Evaluate client technology landscapes and recommend integrated, stable, future-proof solutions.
Develop and communicate transformation roadmaps, including short-, medium-, and long-term milestones aligned with business and technology goals.
Define strategies for large-scale transitions and modernization initiatives, converting innovation roadmaps into modernization program charters and platform capabilities.
Define and evolve population-scale platform architecture and strategic platform foundations that translate client objectives into scalable, high-performance solutions.
Author design blueprints aligned with functional and non-functional goals, and define reusable transformation frameworks, reference architectures, and solution blueprints for use across engagements.
Drive adoption and operationalization of emerging and evolving technologies.
Advise technical teams and client stakeholders, assess client feedback, and provide insights on follow-up plans.
Lead performance optimization and identify enterprise technology risks and mitigation strategies.
Oversee creation and dissemination of organizational technical knowledge.
Contribute field insights to the productization and standardization of Infosys AI platforms, industry stacks, and Frontier Engineering offerings.
Collaborate with sales teams on proposals and go-to-market materials, including offerings and collateral for productized solutions.
Lead architects on large programs, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure technical quality.
Drive execution across stakeholders, resolve high-risk technical challenges, and build critical components.
Review detailed designs, code, configuration, and data models, and provide specific technical input to architects and developers.
Represent the organization in industry forums, analyst meetings, partner events, and client engagements; contribute publications, patents, and intellectual property.
