About The Position

The Seed Coordinator organizes, sorts, treats, and ships seed orders and is responsible for physical seed inventory in the warehouse, receiving and unloading seed, and operating a soybean seed treater. The role supports customers, growers, and River Valley Cooperative team members while helping maintain seed equipment, inventory, paperwork, and a clean, positive image for the cooperative. The employee may also perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a CDL – Class A with airbrake, hazmat, and tanker endorsements.
Ability to obtain custom applicator licenses with applicable endorsements, including Seed Treatment Certification.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in agriculture or a related field.

Responsibilities

Treat seed according to order requirements.
Maintain a state applicator’s license to treat seed.
Run and maintain seed equipment, including Seed Tenders, Weigh Wagons, and the Treating Machine.
Provide customer service by filling, loading, and delivering seed.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and office.
Assist the Seed Lead in working with growers and River Valley team members to educate them about hybrids and overall product performance.
Ensure paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Assist with placing seed orders and maintaining acceptable inventories.
Conduct field marketing and place signs.
Help promote a clean and positive image for River Valley Cooperative.
Support the Agronomy Business Unit and other activities, events, and meetings as required.
Organize, sort, and ship seed orders; manage physical seed inventory; and receive and unload seed.
