About The Position

A Seed Coordinator organizes, sorts, treats, and ships seed orders and is responsible for physical seed inventory in the warehouse, receiving and unloading seed, and operating a soybean seed treater. The role supports the Agronomy Business Unit and helps meet the ongoing needs of the organization; other related duties may be assigned as needed. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake, hazmat, and tanker endorsements.
• Ability to obtain applicable custom applicator licenses and endorsements, including Seed Treatment Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in agriculture or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Treat seed according to order requirements.
• Maintain a state applicator license for seed treatment.
• Operate and maintain seed equipment, including seed tenders, weigh wagons, and treating machines.
• Provide customer service by filling, loading, and delivering seed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and office.
• Assist the Seed Lead in working with growers and River Valley team members to educate them about hybrids and overall product performance.
• Ensure paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Assist with placing seed orders and maintaining acceptable inventories.
• Perform field marketing and place signs.
• Help promote a clean and positive image for River Valley Cooperative.
• Support the Agronomy Business Unit and participate in other activities, events, and meetings as required.
