About The Position

Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) protects influential and at-risk public figures. The company’s mission is the safety, privacy, and wellbeing of its clients. A newly hired Protector in Tulsa will earn at least $65,000 in base earnings during the first year. First-year earnings may reach $77,000 based on prior relevant experience, GDBA Training Academy performance, and promotion opportunities. Protectors monitor client properties, screen visitors and vendors, control access, coordinate and execute security plans, and respond to medical emergencies. They provide physical protection and logistical support at clients’ homes and during travel, provide secure transportation as needed, survey and prepare locations before a client arrives, document suspicious activity, and maintain readiness to address threats. The role includes a 12-day introductory training academy in San Antonio, Texas.

Requirements

Pass a physical readiness test consisting of pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and an 800-meter run.
Be able to swim.
Be drug- and nicotine-free.
Pass a background check.
Be able to obtain appropriate state firearm and security licenses.
Communicate effectively, be physically fit, be willing to learn, tell the truth, and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor property using the tools and technology of a GDBA Command Center.
