About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Shift Supervisor at a college in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Overnight shifts are available, and the role requires flexibility. Starting pay is $24.85 per hour, with paid orientation and paid training.

The Security Shift Supervisor supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality services during an assigned shift at a customer site. The role serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. The supervisor oversees staff on the assigned shift and provides coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience for driving positions; the posting also states that candidates must be 21 or older.
• For driving positions, a clean driving record: no major violations in the past 36 months, no more than one accident in the past 24 months, and no more than one minor moving violation in the past 24 months.
• For driving positions, meet the company's minimum insurance requirements and be able to safely operate a vehicle.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare neat, legible written reports and logs.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, snowy, or hot conditions.
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders during a shift.
• Ability to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
• Successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on an assigned shift at a customer site.

• Supervise staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
