About The Position

Allied Universal Services is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Site and/or Shift Supervisor for a college or university setting in Baltimore City, Maryland. The role supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality security services during an assigned shift and serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. The supervisor oversees staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment guidelines. The position requires walking and standing and working outdoors in the elements. Starting pay is $23.00–$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age according to the specific hiring requirements; the qualifications section also states at least 18 years of age.
• Previous supervisory experience is required, with a minimum of two years.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Must have effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to deal professionally and effectively with personnel at all levels and the general public.
• Must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Must be able to prepare written reports and logs frequently in neat, legible handwriting.
• Must be able to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Must have intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Must be able to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• For driving positions, must have a valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record meeting the stated violation limits, the minimum insurance required by company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol testing; a driver's record check may also be required.
• Must meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Must be able to walk and stand and work outdoors in the elements.
