About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Professional Security Flex Officers for a local university campus in Baltimore, Maryland. This part-time, flex/on-call role may involve afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts. Officers help safeguard clients by providing customer service, following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The role requires standing and walking for long periods. The listed pay rate is $21.75 per hour, and paid orientation is provided.

Applicants must be professionally dressed for the interview and provide proof of updated COVID-19 and flu vaccinations throughout the hiring process. Interviews are held Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 36 South Charles Street, Suite 2300, Baltimore, Maryland; walk-ins are welcome. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screen, subject to applicable laws. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
