About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a college site in Roxbury Crossing, Massachusetts. The officer will help safeguard the campus by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and pays $22.05 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to support a welcoming learning environment and help deter unauthorized activity.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
