College Security Officer
About The Position
The College Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises and patrolling assigned locations. The officer preserves order by enforcing site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area, and provides customer service and information to client employees and customers. Duties include observing and reporting activities and incidents at an assigned client site to protect client property and personnel. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided for candidates entering the security industry. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled for 10–15 hours per week, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Weekly pay and opportunities for growth within the company are offered.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
- Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking, sometimes for long periods; duties may involve climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background; no experience is necessary, and training is provided.
