About The Position

Allied Universal Services is hiring a Professional Security Shift Supervisor in Richmond, Virginia. The supervisor oversees and coordinates quality security services during an assigned shift at a customer site, serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers, and supervises staff by providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Thursday through Saturday, 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., and Sunday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The hourly pay rate is $21.50. At least six months of security experience is required.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• For driving positions: valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record meeting the stated standards, insurance at the level required by company policy, and ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate delivery of quality services on an assigned shift at a customer site.
• Act as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
• Supervise staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
• Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
