About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Shift Supervisor in the Florence, New Jersey area. The supervisor oversees and coordinates quality security services during an assigned shift at a customer site and serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. The role supervises assigned-shift staff, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment guidelines. Applicants must be able to walk long distances, use computers, and maintain a professional demeanor. The schedule will be announced during the interview process. Pay is $21.35 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations at client sites calmly and efficiently.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required; a driving record check may also be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality security services on an assigned shift at a customer site.
• Act as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
• Supervise staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment guidelines.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
• Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
