About The Position

Allied Universal Services is hiring a Security Shift Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality security services during an assigned shift at Birmingham City Schools. The supervisor acts as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. The role includes supervising staff and providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range. The position requires the ability to handle routine and crisis situations calmly and efficiently, provide exceptional customer service, and use wireless technology at client-specific sites. Pay is $21.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old is specified under the hiring notice; the qualifications section also states a minimum age of 18.
• Five years of security experience.
• Supervisor experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs frequently in neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
