About The Position

The Security Patrol Officer preserves the integrity of the center by patrolling the exterior of tenants’ buildings and looking for security issues and safety violations. The role provides a security presence on the property, assists tenants, responds to incidents and emergencies, documents occurrences, and helps enforce center policies. The officer also completes routine tours and assists the shift supervisor as needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Have strong attention to detail.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Be able to adhere to process protocols and apply established protocols in a timely manner.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Be available for a flexible schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide a security presence on the property and assist tenants.
Inform the Shift Supervisor of security and safety issues.
Respond to potential thefts, medical emergencies, fights, and property damage.
Complete shift logs.
Complete incident reports when occurrences need to be reported.
Assist in emergency situations.
Enforce center policies, including policies on smoking, pets on the property, and unattended packages.
Complete routine tours of the center.
Assist the shift supervisor as needed, including standing in when necessary.
Conduct foot patrols of the property.
