About The Position

Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel, a Colwen Hotels property, is seeking motivated, friendly housekeepers with attention to detail. The role performs cleaning activities in accordance with company and brand standards, including cleaning, stocking, and maintaining assigned guest rooms. Housekeepers respond to guest and departmental requests, safeguard guest privacy, and help ensure rooms meet hotel standards. The position may also involve laundering and folding linens and towels, reporting maintenance needs, and handling found items.

Requirements

Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper; hotel experience preferred.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Remain discreet and respect guest privacy, working with a high level of integrity.
Perform consistently to a high standard.
Work quickly without compromising quality.
Work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance.
Interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Have excellent prioritization and time-management skills.
Willingness to work a rotational 7-day work cycle, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Receive assigned room lists from the manager and prioritize rooms.
Clean, stock, and maintain assigned guest rooms according to Colwen and brand cleanliness standards.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Check the cleaning cart inventory, replenish supplies, and transport the cart to assigned rooms.
Protect guest privacy and knock and announce before entering rooms; return later if a room is occupied.
Check and restock room amenities and supplies according to standards.
Make beds and stock bath linens according to standards.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and coffee stations, as applicable.
Remove trash, dirty linens, towels, and room-service items from rooms.
Check that appliances are present and in clean working order.
Straighten desk areas and furniture; dust and polish furniture; remove marks and stains from walls and furnishings.
Vacuum carpets and clean floors.
Notify the maintenance department of needed repairs or maintenance.
Perform a final walk-around to ensure each room meets hotel standards.
Launder soiled linens, which may include loading washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels.
Take found items to the designated lost-and-found area.
Perform other duties as requested.
