About The Position

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. is hiring an onsite Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator in the Pittsburgh–Whitehall area. Employees hired into this role will hold the position title of Virtual Coordinator (Onsite); this posting uses Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to reflect the day-to-day responsibilities. The operator will work in a 24/7 Security Operations Center monitoring security alarms, assisting customers, and communicating with emergency responders when needed. No prior alarm-monitoring experience is required; paid training and certification as a Remote Security Officer are provided. The position is available full-time or part-time and pays $16.75 per hour. The schedule covers second and third shifts, with weekends and holidays required. Relocation and travel are not required.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Strong communication, computer, and multitasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and sound problem-solving abilities.
Reliable attendance and ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Customer service, call center, dispatch, or data entry experience preferred.
Experience with alarm monitoring, access control, or security systems is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

Monitor security alarms and respond according to established procedures.
Communicate with customers, emergency responders, and internal teams to resolve alarm events.
Provide professional customer service while handling a high volume of inbound calls.
Accurately document activity and navigate multiple computer applications.
Assist customers with account inquiries, alarm monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
Remain alert, organized, and focused in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment.
