Security Officer SOC Security Operations Center
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a premier retail location in Piscataway, New Jersey. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access and visitor management, and providing customer service to guests and team members. The role requires clear communication, professional responses to incidents, and support for a welcoming environment. The listed schedule includes overnight shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and daytime shifts on Friday and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $25.05 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a security-related license may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and associates while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and support visitor management practices in a luxury retail environment.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.
