About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for unarmed bicycle patrol in Birmingham, Alabama. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Sunday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, patrols property and access areas, monitors authorization and documentation, and responds professionally to incidents and emergencies. Requirements

• Must be able to ride a bicycle.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to ride a bicycle for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas; identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and public-service agencies when needed.
• Help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment and deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence and adherence to company and site procedures.
