About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to work at a front desk at an aerospace and defense location in Roy, Utah. The role involves welcoming visitors, managing access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry activity, and providing customer service and clear communication. A visible security presence helps deter incidents while maintaining a professional, welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $23.62 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized guests at the front desk, following site-specific procedures and access requirements.
Monitor visitor access; verify credentials; issue and collect visitor badges; maintain visitor logs; and direct authorized individuals to the appropriate contacts or locations.
Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, and communicate routine access concerns, suspicious activity, and facility-related issues to designated personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Maintain accurate records and help deter unauthorized access by consistently applying security-related procedures.
