About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for a front desk assignment in an aerospace and defense environment in Mc Lean, Virginia. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The position pays $25.24 per hour and the listed schedule is Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk by following site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Monitor entry points, receive and route calls, and provide directions or information professionally and courteously.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established emergency response procedures.
• Document and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
