About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a technology-focused location in Manassas, Virginia. The officer will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while helping safeguard the site. Duties include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting badge and access-control activities using a computer or tablet, and responding to incidents or emergencies professionally. The posted pay rate is $21.84 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Customer service experience, comfort using a computer or tablet, and access-control or badge experience are preferred. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; identify and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures and help maintain orderly entry and exit operations.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, patrol findings, and other security-related observations.
• Use computer or tablet systems to support badge and access-control activities.
