About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a cultural institution in Atlanta, Georgia. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, and guests. The role involves professional communication, incident response, and teamwork. The posted schedule is Wednesday 9:15 a.m.–5:15 p.m., Friday 5:15 p.m.–10:15 p.m., and Sunday 11:15 a.m.–5:15 p.m. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, performance spaces, public areas, offices, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, assist with directions and guest questions, and support adherence to location policies.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events, following established reporting and notification procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
