About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Credential Validation in Newark, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service and communicate with employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while supporting a welcoming environment.

The role is full-time and pays $21.25 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control entry and exit for personnel, vehicles, and authorized visitors.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle logs; issue and recover access credentials according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and report observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
