Security Officer - Credential Validation

About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer supporting credential validation at a food and beverage production location in Frankfort, Indiana, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will support a secure environment through attentive access procedures, customer service, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. The role offers a day schedule on Mondays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Control entry and exit for employees, contractors, vendors, and commercial vehicles according to facility procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
