About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a commercial real estate location in Playa Vista, California. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access points, and assisting visitors, tenants, and staff. The officer is expected to communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute through teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

The position is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and pays $21.30 per hour. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable state or local licensing requirements may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor property access and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures.
• Report suspicious activity and access issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
• Communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and property representatives.
