About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Allen, Texas. The officer will safeguard clients by patrolling assigned retail and mall areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and shoppers. The role uses computer or tablet tools for daily operations and requires professional communication with guests, team members, supervisors, and site contacts.

The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.10 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state or local laws.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including entrances, common areas, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and other security concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence, assist with directions, respond to customer questions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
