About The Position

As a Security Officer in a driving patrol role at a retail and mall location in Grandville, Michigan, you will serve and safeguard clients while providing customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and vendors. You will conduct visible foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access and activity, respond professionally to incidents and concerns, and follow site-specific security procedures. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. This is a full-time position paying $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; communicate observations to site contacts or emergency responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations.
Monitor access points and observe visitor and delivery activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
